We contracted Pro Clean carpets from an advertisement that my 75 year old Mother found in the local pennysaver for long Island town. The carpet cleaning job was for 3 rooms an 2 halls and a 2 stairs which we were told would be $ 99.00.
Pro Clean Carpet Cleaning arrived at Moms house completed the work and informed our 75 year old mother on a fixed income that speaks broken English that job would now cost $ 375.00, since Mom didn't know any better she paid the Pro Clean Carpet Tech, Jay the $ 375.00 in cash.
When my brother and I found out how much ProClean Carpet had charged Mom we called and spoke with Michael the Manager. Michael informed us that even thought Pro Clean Carpets highest for the Whole House Special that included 5 rooms and Free Hall for $ 139.00 they would discount or reimbruse Mom the $ 236.00 balance.
Michael, the Pro Clean Carpet Manager informed us that we should read the fine print on the contract, which states nothing about excessive price gauging or taking advantage of little old ladies on fixed incomes and promptly hung up on us.
We specifically called on our mothers behalf so there would be no need for a conversation about what need to be done and at what price. However Jay, the Pro Clean Carpet managed to convince our that the price was $ 375.00. I hope your business is booming with that additional $ 236.00 you ripped off our mother Pro Clean Carpet, way to go!!!! DO NOT USE THESE CON MEN!!!!
