I was called on the telephone by pro mag energy group, a air conditioning company in Florida. I was told my current air conditioning company was out of business and they were taking over their customers. I was then immediately pushed into committing to a maintenance appointment with them for 49.99. I agreed reluctantly. They sent a tech out to my house, same tech from my regular company so this confused me I am a widow and 78 years old. I allowed him to do my maintenance but something didn't feel right. When the tech came in to collect on my bill he began to open up. Told me how the manager at his office quit the old company and took every employee with her to the new company. I immediately felt uncomfortable being dragged in by lies and paid the tech and got him out of my home immediately. I then called my real air conditioning company and they are open and operating business as usual. I am so shocked of the practices of Pro Mag and it's dishonest employees. I have received since this appointment on 04/17/12 several calls from Pro Mag trying to persuade me to have the technician come back and perform the recommendations of work totaling over 700.00 dollars. I have asked them not to call and they continue anyways. I called my Company and they came out for free and said the work recommendations were not necessary and to call them in 6 months time as they would honor my contract even though another company had messed with my air conditioning units. I just wanted to tell everyone and reach as many people as I could to beware of this scam. I have sent a letter out in my neighborhood and I have called the investigative news team to do a interview. These business practices scare me and leave me wondering what happened to people's sense of morality?
