Pro Transmission Villainous Con, Liars, Crooks, Scandalous Glendale, Arizona
Pro Transmission on 67th Ave in Glendale Az are nothing short of straight up criminals. I walked into their shop one day and asked them if they could look at my vehicle. I was having some issues with my transmission, and the owner told me that he would tow my truck in for free, and that he would put it on his computer scope for a free analysis, and preform a trans-check for free. A trans-check is where they hoist up the vehicle and do a visual inspection. I was informed that after these free checks were made that I would receive a quote for services needed and parts. Two days after my truck is towed into their shop, I receive a call from the owner asking me to come down to the shop. I went down there that day and to my complete surprise, they had my transmission pulled out of the vehicle, along with support braces from the frame of the truck, and my exhaust system: All completely disassembled and in hundreds of pieces. The ow ner told me that he could repair my transmission for $3,600.00 This quote was 3 to 4 times higher than any other quote I received from other transmission shops. I explained to him that I didn't have that kind of money and that I would like my truck back.
I was then informed by the owner that I owed him $600.00 for the work he had one so far since I was not going to get my truck fixed at this shop, This is when I knew I was being taken advantage of and that I was dealing with a company that is dishonest, but what could I do? They would not release my vehicle until I paid him for the free towing, free trans-check and free computer analysis. I informed him that I would need a week to come up with the cash, and did so. I paid the $600.00 and totally expected to receive my truck at this time. I even had a tow truck company from AAA there to assist in removing the vehicle from his property. After he had my $600.00 in hand, he informed me that I now owed $500.00 more for storage fees, and that if I did not want the vehicle, that I could just give him my title, and came to find out just days later, that the shop had already filed for abandoned title on my truck. With no other choice but to pay or lose my truck, I paid the extortion money. $1100.00 in all. I showed up again with a tow truck, but they had already sent my truck to a storage yard. I asked if I could pick it up from that location and they told me that they had to bring the truck back to the shop because the day the towed it to the storage yard was a bit confusing because they had several vehicles being transported to the yard, and they forgot to put some of my parts back in the truck. That told me right there (several vehicles being towed to a storage yard) that this company makes it a practice to commandeervehicles. When my truck was finally released, I found my transmission, and exhaust system in the bed of the truck, still in hundreds of pieces. The paperwork I received clearly states that the transmission was suppose to be reassembled and put back in the vehicle. It also states that The unauthorized removal of my transmission was $500.00 According to the paperwork given to me the total bill was suppose to be $1000.00 yet I paid $1100.00
All in all, this company ripped me off
