my reports is about proactive solution.on how they treat thier consumer....n about thier product...

my 1st problem is on april 28 2004..is i mail my money and order to them thier product,the 3 main product(the renewing cleanser,revitalizing toner,repairing lotion..)and they will tell u to wait for 4-6 weeks...n until 6 weeks n more,it will not come in the right date that they indicate in thier internet.(4-6weeks)..

my 2nd problem is i call their tol free hotline n they told me to wait again 4 more weeks to ship the product..cause they told me "sory 4 the inconvenience"n they will ship it on maybe june 14.....

my 3rd problem is when i call their toll-freehotline...n the lady operator said that i've have no record to them..(they means i that they lost my money)n i told them to double check my name..)

my 3rd problem is i call again the toll free hotline,n they make a promise that they will ship the product on june 22...n like i said"there always inconvience" so the product was not comes untill july...so i cansel the order of product

my 4th problem is they told me to wait 4-6 weeks for my refund,so i have no choice to wait 4-6weeks for my refund

my 5th problem is like i said there is always inconvenice...so they are so stupid n tell me again to wait again 4-6 weeks for my refund.....is that hard....its only $46..n until now my refund is not yet comes...

my 6th problem is they mail my sister a letter that they will return her refund n just wait for 4-6week n until now it not comes..

my 7th problem is their product is NOT 100% EFFECTIVE...its not like u see on t.v...maybe its scrifted....or maybe they pay those
people who gone there acne cause they try the proactive...cause my sister try there product n it not effective.it gives only redness to her face.

warning:do not order proactive cause as for my own experince there is a lot of inconveniece...n i ask of some of my friend who order it..n they told me that there is a lot of inconvience,n they said proactive sucks...n their product was not really effective..it will turn ur face to redness

note:hope u help me in my problem,n to get back my money as soon as possible cause i'm tired of waiting...n are they can pay for me for all the inconvience that they made,cause they made me stupid,like they are...n the money of my sister just to get back..hope u e-mail me if u recive my report,and for any follow -up action in this matter

I see and hear that Proactiv works miracles but I think it only works in severe situations (no harm intended by SEVERE). I just found it to excessively dry my skin which inturn caused more problems, but as you guys stated it doesn't work for everyone. I simply chose not to reorder with no complaints ya know? I am now using a product by Murad and it works for me wonderfully. It can be ordered directly from Murad or purchased in Sephora, the prices are similar to Proactiv but I believe well worth it.

Also to the skeptics about any skin care product line...Do your research on more than just the company but on skin care.
If you have dry skin you should use a creamy cleanser & moisturizer to promote moisture.
If you have very oily skin you should use a gel cleanser and an oil free moisturizer.
There are also cleansers for combination skin.

You may have to go beyond the shelves of your grocery or pharmacy to get the results you want. If price is the issue, Kohl's has a great skincare line backed by a Dermatologist that has a column in Redbook, they have skin care for all skin types and it's reasonably priced. Just a suggestion.

I agree with everyones rebuttal. I myself have some Proactive and it works better than any other soap and acne creams I have ever bought but everyones skin is different. This complaint shouldnt be a complaint about Proctive because shipping has nothing to do with the company.

I had no problems with shipping, I ordered my kit on a Friday night online and received it the following Wednesday.

I just wanted to back up the best acne solution because it is a great product. No complaints here.

I've used Proactive off and on for about 5 years and if you ad up the expense for what you get it's not more expensive then buying a decent quality face wash, toner, moisturizer and Acne treatment. Additionally the auto re-order system works wonders and I save time by not having to run out to the store and money on gas. I was not on the re-order system for a while and I tried other products and could not get good results so I went on-line and reordered and my product arrived in less than a week.

I'm sorry that you are a disatisfied customer but you can't please everyone all of the time.

I happen to agree with Gina very much. To the person from Guam who's having issues with the company, The person you should be complaining about is the servicer of your loan. I've used Proactiv now for many years and I've been very satisfied with it. In regards to your sister and the effects on her skin, everyone's skin is different. I've had acne since I was 7. Yes, SEVEN years old. Now I'm clear. And I can tell you I've tried virtually everything aside from the select few that are extremely strong. Proactiv is the ONLY thing that has worked for me EVER. Is it expensive. In some respect, yes. But is it worth it? Definitly. I don't mind waiting a couple weeks for the product because I know that once I have it, it's going to work. There are captions during the infomercials that plainly state that individual results may vary, that the results depicted on tv are not typical. So stop complaining that it doesn't get to you on time and that your sister had a bad reaction to it. Do you think there's products out there that you use, and are thrilled and absolutely happy with, that others have problems with? Absolutely. I would bet anything on it. As for having to wait a while to get the product, so what? It's worth it.

I imagine the main reason they had issues with your particular order is because you were inquiring about it so much that they had different notes on your account, thereby confusing whoever you spoke with that saw it. Guthy-Renker is not ripping people off. I'm sure they're rich off it because millions of people use the company's products. Millions.

And there's how many complaints on this site about this product? From this current date--> 2. Out of the millions of people that use Proactiv, I see only 2 that have complaints. Pretty strong standing for Proactiv. So stop complaining and either wait for your refund, or try again and be patient this time.

This is to the person who was complaining.

For starters, you are in Guam, which to the best of my knowledge last time I checked was NOT in the U.S.A. Of course shipping is going to take much longer than they say! These things happen.

I have used Proactive and I am very pleased with the product. I have discontinued use due to the fact it is very expensive. However, when I start up again Proactive has become such a large business with many successes that they now have their own stores/kiosks where you can actually go and buy the product (which I personally feel was about time for them to do something of the sort)

So, maybe they will open a store around you, or maybe you could find someone in America to recieve the package and ship it to you? Otherwise, if I were overseas and ordering this product I would most definetly understand that it's going to take longer than they say. I'm sure they'd love your business and I'm sure they'd like their product to get to you on time, but what they (and you) want and what the USPS is going to do are two different things. They say 4-6 weeks, you expect it there 4-6 weeks and that is all understandable. However, do note that you ARE indeed overseas and that regardless, there is a third party. So, try and deal with them.

I have found this site to be a great place for information regarding all kinds of products and businesses, but this post was just ridiculous. Your angst towards this company seems to be due fully to the fact you didn't get your product when you wanted to get it. I could understand if more than 1-2 months go by and you haven't recieved the product, but from what you've already said, that was not the case. Patience is needed with large companies sometimes, and is ALWAYS needed when dealing with shipping companies.

I would recommend you try this product again and relax. Pay extra for a rush delivery if they have it available, and ask for tracking information. Otherwise, a product sold in stores that is 99% the exact same thing as Proactive, called: Klear would probably work great for you, and costs half the price. (with no shipping needed!) so why don't you maybe try and look into that? Otherwise, just stop complaining. Your post had nothing to do with the company or the results from the products they sell. It had to do with minor confusion and shipping OVERSEAS issues. So deal with them as they come.

i am the one who create proactive report n based on my experience in this company are:

1st i send my money n order their product in they told me that i they will deliver the product 4-6 weeks,n after 6 weeks the product were not deliver to me,n i call them n they say "sory for inconveince" n they gave me a date were in will receive their product that i've order,n still it not come,so i cancel my order..(so if u could not sure that u will deliver ur product on time,pls dont gave a date in ur customer,cause CUSTOMER WERE expecting in that date)

2nd thing is about the result of their product,i actually based on the experince to my sister.and the result to her is not effective maybe the type of skin she had...but proactive dont gave guaratee of"money back if u not satisfied for result"maybe they will return the money on next mellinium

3nd thing is i cancel my order it means i want to gave back my money that i order ther product,n i start dealing w/ them april 28 2004,n now todays date september 30 2004,n until now they dont gave back my money,r they deliver it manually,or ARE they planning to return my money OR NOT..(so i hope that proactive company (guthy renker company)will be RICH IN STEALING CUSTOMER MONEY..

I am a ProActiv user. I am pleased with the product. I have no complaints. Yes, it is pricey, but it works for me. As far as redness from it; Everyone's skin is different so I cannot say that it won't cause redness. You say you don't get the product on time. Well, you must realize that the dates given are just estimated dates. If it says the order will be there May 1, it may not come till the 5th. It is just an estimated date. They cannot provide an exact date of arrival to your residence, they are not in control of the rapidness or accuracy of the postal service.
