Not a ripoff, but certainly insulting

I just hate big business thinking we are too stupid to notice.

Some slackjawed pimplefaced college kid sitting in a cubicle obviously came up with this strategy.

These companies don't have the backbone or basic integrity to just raise the price, so they shrink the product!

Look at COFFEE, for instance, as this was one of the first products this happened to.

The large can of coffee used to be 3 full pounds which is 48oz.

Now, that same "large" can is like 27 oz! It shrunk a full 21oz!!

The price is the same or even a little higher than the former 48 oz can.

I do my part though. I just change brands. Like with coffee. Whomever has the largest can gets my money.

mouse prints . com (eliminate spaces) is a reputable, safe website.  I have been following them for years.  They post a new report every Monday.

The fact that you were able to determine exactly how much of the product was in the package would lead me to believe that this is not a ripoff.  Obviously the package was labelled properly and you had a choice of buying their roll, or a roll from some other company that still contains 569 square feet.   Do you think the company should be required to provide a 569 sq. ft. roll forever?  Just to keep you happy?  Get real.

There are many companies downsizing their products these days while keeping the price the same.....cereal, ice cream, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.  Check out (((Redacted))) . They report on a lot of this.  I don't consider this a ripoff.
