ProductTestPanel.com lures victims into releasing personal information by offering free gifts. One that caught my eye was a free Sony Viao laptop. To the companies credit they clearly state that all requirements must be meet in order to qualify for the gift. However, when the individual is asked for their information the terms and conditions are placed in a small unattractive text box. Only the most thorough person would take the time to copy and paste the text into a word document to find the hidden catches.

After fulfilling the company's requirements the individual is asked to complete several surveys with the option to opt out of each one. After all the surveys are completed the individual is told to complete two sponsor offers from a select list. Here you discover that the gift is not actually free. Each sponsor list requires you to pay shipping and handling for their product. These are minimal costs and for about $7.00 one might think they will receive their free laptop.

Under terms and conditions it is stated that all requirements must be met. Here are the exact terms copied from http:producttestpanel.com:

Membership Incentive Promotions: This offer is available to US residents only. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. To receive the free membership incentive gift you must complete all of the steps outlined herein. Prospective members must: (a) submit their zip code to determine geographic eligibility; (b) register with a valid and deliverable email address; (c) submit accurate contact and demographic information including a mailing address; (d) acquire two advertiser action points from each of PTP's three Offer Groups for a total of six advertiser action points.

This last requirement is the most important and where the company scams us. The three offer groups are Top Offers, Prime Offers, and Premium offers. This means each participant must complete six offers. Again it would seem reasonable when the offers charge on average 6.95 the price of shipping the product. But the premium offers are a whole different ball game. Here one is required to sign up for a data storage account that charges a minimum of $38/month. The next cheapest offer is $499.

These factors necessitate ProductTestPanel.com to be labeled a scam. If the company was forthright in disclosing all the requirements they wouldn't be a scam. It is a shame that they fool people into believing they can receive free stuff.

I challenge ProductTestPanel.com to make it clear to all applicants exactly what is required to receive their free gifts. Only then can you honestly post a rebuttal to me labeling your company a scam.
