I dont know about MV Transit, Empire, or other paratransit outfits which Ive seen reported here or on other sites. But recently I was with Professional Transit (94-01 150th Street, Jamaica Queens), which I have yet to seen written up. They start you @ $10 per hour, which is less than other paratransit outfits I see advertising.

They also tell you Paid Training. LOL!! Thats misleading advertising at best!! Its only minimum wage, and only 8 hours per day even if you spend 11 hours per day on-the-road training. But I got the shaft before the end of the 10 day training because of a difficulty I was not even trained to handle. Specifically, how to secure wheelchairs, scooters, or safety belts on passengers. BTW, this is new to me, as my many years of driving experience were mostly with shared airport limo vans. And although they have the wheelchair fixtures in their training room, they dont use it as they should. So this deadbeat outfit will stiff you of the training pay by telling you that you cant get paid if you dont finish training.

YES!! They just waste your time which could be better spent looking for a legitimate job in a legitimate company, and dont pay you a penny!! Its like this crooked outfit just takes on (new hires) free samples and wastes their time, then disposes of them. Also, beware of any contracts they ask you to sign; e.g., charging you fees if the company terminates you. That could be a rip-off. Such contracts, from my understanding, are probably illegal. STAY AWAY FROM PROFESSIONAL TRANSIT!!!!
