Complaint Review:

I was approached by this advertising agency outrank.com and agreed to the terms they stated. This was after seeing a "nice" website they stated that they had built and would build me a similar one.
I then read about the problems people were having with the company. Outrank then (with the help of AMEX)refunded my money. I was later called by a sales rep and they said that they would cut rates in half and not charge me until they got my site on the front page, so I could see that there service works. I said ok and then filled out my "info" sheet.
I sent my info in Aug 13,2010 and never heard back from them. I wrote them again on Sept 9 and they replied on the 13th, stating to please call. I did, and got an answering machine both with the account manager and customer service. A few days later I received an AMEX statement and saw charges from Outrank.com. I then filed a dispute over the charges they had made. There were (2) 95.00 charges, one on 8/13/10 and one on 8/27/10 both of these made before I had ever heard from back from outrank.com with a website or time frame.
I was told that the website would contain; a link to my personal website, which it doesn't, a local number, which it doesn't,and my own photographs, which it does, but on the home page there is only one picture, a "garbage" stock photograph of a camera.
In reality all they did was plug the words "Naples Photographer" into a generic template. This caused confusing sentence structure due to the fact that it was never proof read. It also contained grammar errors and advertising for services I don't offer such as commercial photography. The website was far from the original sample they showed me.
Photography is obviously a very visual field. I truly believe this website would cause me to lose more business than it would gain.
