Progressive Business Publications Turned over to collection for newsletter that I didn't want Malvern Pennsylvania

I was offered a trial subscription to "Whats new in benefits and compensation" I reviewed it, sent back the invoice marked "cancel" they didn't cancel. They turned over to collection without even calling me about it first. The collection agency tried to collect a credit card number without even sending me documentation of the order. They just wanted me to give them my credit card number over the phone. For all I know it was a someone trying to get my credit card number.

I sent an email to their customer service complaining about their business tactics, but when I got on this website and saw how many people they have done this to I see that that email will get me no where.

Here is an idea, from now on whenever Progressive calls to sell you an newsletter DO NOT hang up on them, that just gives them a chance to call others and do the same thing. Instead, politely put them on hold and tell them you will be right back, then maybe pick up the phone after a while and do this again. The longer you can keep them on hold the longer they will not be able to call others!!!
