Progressive Contractor Solutions No integrity, wrongfully installed,ridiculously poor customer service with curse words and rude text messages!! Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
In the process of buying our home we had our garage door replaced by a company called Progressive Contractors Solutions. (February 2011) This month (July 2011, 5 months after installation) when closing the garage door the top panel buckles because the mechanism is glued to the garage instead of bolted.
I did my research with other companies to figure out if this is normal and I have found out the opposite, aside from this there is supposed to be a support beam at the top of the door that adds support and reinforcement to that top piece which is also not there. They also should have changed the springs and tracks when replacing the door which they did not do either.
When I contacted the contractor, (Tony) he cursed at me on the phone when he thought I was being ugly (I have an aggressive personality which I explained and apologized that I came off that way) Later in the day after finding everything out I asked him to fix it and he told me to call the company I had contacted and have them fix it because he was not interested in going through this.
Tony came over this morning with an already byst opinion that this was not at any fault of his and blew smoke up my rear as if I am an uneducated women with half of a brain. Upon him leaving I had Lance come over from Garage Door Systems to give me a 2nd opinion since this is all he does and has been doing since 1983. He showed me what was missing and how this wouldn't of even happened if that support beam was on the door like its supposed to be. He said the beam comes with every door, Tony tried telling me with this "low grade" door it doesn't require bolts or anything other them glue for installation.
I have saved every text message from Tony and all my correspondence from the other companies about how to correctly install a garage door, I have pictures as well! I dont know what else to do and its clear the company is not having integrity in this situation.

If this complaint is not based on fact what is it based on??? Pretty sure everything in there can be researched and found with simple key strokes. The fact of the mater is, is that the door was done wrong, you did not want to replace it until I filed numerous reports and wouldn't leave you alone about it until you did. I still have the text messages to prove you were not "interested" in fixing your mistake. I remember very clearly you basically calling me a liar because there was nothing about that door you were going to own up too. This is a simple example of a contractor trying to do something that is not their expertise, after talking with people in the "garage door world" they say this kind of thing happens all the time because normally people who do garage doors do those and those alone. The only fact I failed to leave out is my realtor hired this contractor not me, hopefully she won't again because the longer I am in my home the more I realize the only thing that was done was the door and it was done wrong. I am sorry you think there are facts left out and I would be quiet interested in knowing what those are to be honest. Just because I am the only person to file a report doesn't mean I am the only soul every wronged by this contractor, it takes a bold person such as myself to scream and scream until the wrong-doing is made right. I am sorry I had to take these measures believe me I tried every step to try and correct it without any of this but you were unwilling.

Some facts are not mentioned in the complaint that are very crucial to the truth. First, and foremost is the fact that at no time was the person filing the complaint, at any time, ever a customer of ours. We did not do this or any other work for her. Inspite of this fact, we did fix her garage door at no cost to her. A complete search of our company on the internet would show this is the only person ever to file a complaint about our company. While this is unfortunate, please note this is not a complaint based on facts and the issue has been resolved.
