 I purchased insurance for my girlfriend on line from Progressive online. They have a list of questions they ask You, such as. How long accident free. How long with out moving violation. Have You had insurance for the past year. Have You had Your license for more than five years.. All those questions I answerd to the best of our knowledge and did not lie about. They gave us a discount for paying the policy up front..

So we paid 950.00 for what supposed to be 6 months of insurance coverage, once we sent the declaration page from the past insurance company they wrote an E mail back to us saying we had to pay 410.00 extra since we did not have some type of coverage that was not needed  in the state of Florida but was known to be safer drivers..

In the web site they never mention that should we not had that type of coverage the premium will increase by 40%. We reported Progressive insurance to the state of Florida department of financial responsibility and have done nothing..I believe that a company doing business on line needs to let You know if the price can be subject to change for any reason and be specific..If we knew that the policy was going to be 40% more, we would not had purchased the policy with them..But after they had our money they refused to do anything about fixing the problem...
