Progressive Moving Company Deceptive, Uncaring, Ripoff, Dallas Houston Texas
Jimmy Wright of Progressive Moving Company is a thief and a liar. It all began okay, we got an online quote for a move from Houston to Tulsa,OK. Jimmy and I spoke on the phone about the items we had and agreed to add $100 to the price, due to some heavy stuff we have. He e-mailed a quote for a truck and movers. One week before the move, as I was packing, I started to question whether or not all our stuff would fit in the truck they quoted. I called the company, and Jimmy said he would send out his experts to evaluate our things and make sure. They didn't come.
I called again. They didn't come. Jimmy said, "oh we've been so busy, we won't forget about you...", they never came. So on move day, here comes our crew and our TRAILER...not the truck. I took one look at that trailer and told them it's not going to fit! I called the company. Jimmy said, "we can send another truck and crew for you, and double the price if you like!". I gave the phone to the lifter and overheard Jimmy say, "just get whatever you can on that truck and leave.....they can figure out what to do with the rest, make sure you get the check first!" I couldn't believe it.
So the guys packed the truck and finished late in the evening and left. So my husband and I had to wait until morning to go to U-haul, rent a trailer, have a hitch installed, etc. The movers and our stuff were 250 miles ahead of us. They weren't going to wait, and were going to charge us if they did, so we had a friend in our new town open the house. This was a temporary living space for us, so some things needed to be stored in the garage. They just threw everything in the garage, stacked boxes on top of other boxes that said "fragile". Who knows how much damage was done, all our stuff is in a big pile.
We are moving to another location next week, and we'll find our just how horrible the damages are. Please don't ever use PROGRESSIVE moving company and don't talk to Jimmy Wright. He's a snake.

While living in the Dallas, TX area, I used Progressive Movers on 3 occasions. I was blown away regarding the fast moving of my items as I had been concerned they would be slower because they charged by the hour! I moved from a one story to a third story and, again they did not waste time, nor complain & it was hot! Nothing has ever been broken and my fragile Indian wall hanging never damaged, nor my large glass table top and mirrors!
When I say this review, I knew I had to respond!! I only have great things to say about Jimmy and his movers because my experiences with them are positive and yes, the cost was much better than the others!! You cannot believe just bad things people write because most people that have good experiences, usually say nothing!!
I plan on using them again very soon to move my things to San Antonio, TX!

i understand that you are unhappy with it but u cant have everything you want in life , did you ever tried to maybe be nicer maybe you had i bad attitude while talking on the phone with jimmy the owner and i understand that you wrote down that jimmy yelled at you when you called him but did you ever stopped and thinned that not everyone might have been having a great day and yes i am sorry that you thought it was unfair and that you needed to call uhaul but you do not have to go crying to the internet that you were to lazy enough not to be a mature adult and that you weren't smart enough to just be polite and say "i understand can i please have them come back or ask for another trailer" from my experience i know that they are polite if you the client are polite to and they do a great job yes nobody is perfect but they do the best they can.
