Please, take a little time to read this, PROGRESSIVE RELOCATION SYSTEM AKA GLOBAL EXPRESS VAN LINES, is  and always will be a SCAM company, check them out on movingscam or other rip off websites OR JUST GOOGLE THE NAME JOSH SOCHER THAT IS THERE BOSS, AND SEE THE HORROR STORIES THAT UNFOLD, they have a long history of ripping people off.

In fact, the owner(josh socher) is the one who scams everyone.  He tells his employees to tell there customers EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING they want to hear, this way he will eventually charge there first deposit.  Which is how him and the whole staff get paid, they are scammers, and they take the deposit, and then never call you again.  And then on your actual move day, 3 Foreigners get to your house, and they barely speak a lick of English.  They don't know about what they are and aren't taking, and that right there is the beginning of the nightmare.

When they came to my house, they loaded the truck full, and then told me that my price is now $18,590!!!! do you know what I booked my job at when I paid the deposit?  $8,000.  $8,000, can you imagine getting all your belongings put on SOME STRANGER'S truck(who mind you had NO LOGO, NO DECAL, WAS JUST A BLANK WHITE TRUCK) and then they show me paperwork(with all my belongings in there possession) that said $18,590!?!?!?!? The price hadn't just doubled, they added a straight $10,590 on top of my $8,000(which was all I pretty much had to pay for this).

So what do you think I did?  I lost all my stuff, that's right, we're still fighting them to get it back at a lower price, and they are starting to haggle, but to be honest, my stuff is worth much more then 20K i just don't have the money to pay it back,, PLEASE BUYERS BEWARE, JOSH SOCHER, AND HIS CREW WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO HEAR JUST TO GET YOUR DEPOSIT!!! PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY, UNLESS YOU WANT TO END UP LIKE ME, IN A HOUSE THAT IS COMPLETELY EMPTY, B/C THESE ***** WON'T DELIVER FOR THE PRICE THEY TOLD ME UPFRONT!

Mr. King, but what about my experience?

Mr. King,

I can't say wether or not your reply regarding a competitor's attack is accurate, but my experience was not dissimilar to what was described above in the original complaint.

On my initial call your customer rep was friendly and took down my description of contents to be moved and a binding estimate price was provided.  It was competitive to other estimates I received.

On the pick up day, I was not onsite.  A family member was there and he didn't know what price I was given.  The only difference in the inventory was the addition of two 18" cubed boxes.  After the pick up I learned that the price was increased nearly 2 1/2 times my binding estimate.

When I called to complain stating that I would not accept such an increase, I was threatened with legal action and collections.  Several days went by before contact was re-established.  I eventually agreed to a price exceeding my initial estimate by about 50% thinking I was cutting my losses.

On delivery, 13 items were expected and indicated on the inventory sheet prepared by the pick up driver.  12 arrived.  The delivery driver, a contractor not directly employed by Progressive stated that the 13th item never went on the truck.

When I wrote and called Progressive, I asked for someone to look around the warehouse to see if my package was mislaid and could be located.  I was told to file a claim and, in my estimation, was brushed off.  I now am in the process of waiting for the resolution of the claims process.  The cash I eventually get will be no real consolation against the loss of a family heirloom.  I wonder how you go about leaving a box behind.  Your inventory control process can't be that robust.

While I do not know the person who wrote this and I do not know whether or not he was indeed an employee, I can attest that several of his statements were factual. This company thrives on taking significant deposits for both over the phone and in home estimates. When moving day comes, they will show up, and they will attempt to increase your move $1000 more and refuse to acknowledge your deposit. I know because this happened to me.

When we finally settled on an amount that was greater than my legally binding in-home estimate, the movers damaged nearly all of my furniture upon delivery and ruined my brand new hardwood floors too!

I attempted to speak to the owner, Clifford Agnant (not Josh Socher), and it was, by far, the most miserable "conversation" of my life. Cliff needs to learn how to speak to customers, and let customers speak, if he ever hopes to run a successful business. Judging from his behavior with me and readily available past, I am left to suspect that he has zero intentions of ever carrying a business to a positive status. I mean, after discovering that Clifford was arrested less than 10 years ago for trafficking cocaine and spent 3 years in prison as a result, I cannot expect a company to be morally and ethically interested in anyone, much less its clients.

Proof of Clifford's arrest can be found here. As you can see, the stated residence is identical to the registered address of Progressive Relocation Systems. For the full and complete story of my move / experience with Clifford Agnant and his company, Progressive Relocation Systems, please see my blog post here

Slander /Disgruntled Competition

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this response to the ridiculous accusations posted above. First off Progressive Relocation Systems is NOT OWNED nor affiliated with a Mr. Socher or any of the companies listed above and the real owner Mr. Agnant built this company from scratch and with over 20 years in the moving industry and 10 years in the hospitality service industry he has assembled a team and a philosophy that puts client satisfaction as its first priority. This complaint is simply posted by lesser competition trying to tarnish our good name and it is obviously not from a client that we moved. Progressive Relocation holds itself to a high standard and is A rated. We are fully licensed and insured and have reviews from dozens of clients we have moved on various websites and social platforms. When choosing a mover check out the movers licensing information at www.protectyourmove.gov and their reliability report at www.bbb.org

The poster of this comment is under investigation by the authorities and Rip Off report can easily see that it is a bogus complaint but when we approached them with the matter they offered us arbitration at a high cost so obviously this is how this site makes money. We hope that you the educated client can see through this farce and will base your choice of moving comapny on the credentials of the company and professionalism of the staff. Thank you for taking the time to read this rebuttal and please call us with any questions or for a free quote at 855-575-MOVE (6683) or visit us online a www.progressiverelocation.com

thank you,
