Our church ordered a replacement lamp for our projector on June 12, 2007. This was confirmed with an email from Sageryder, Inc. When we did not receive our order within 7 days I contacted Customer Service. They replied saying that a "Customer Service Request" was created for us and gave us a case number. We received an email stating:

"The lamp you ordered is on a short lead time with the manufacturer. We are importing them directly from China, and our shipment will be here on June 30. If you want to keep your order open, I can request that they upgrade your shipping to overnight FedEx at no charge to you. When your lamp goes out, we will email you FedEx tracking information. Thanks Megan"

Well, June 30 comes and goes. July 6 I emailed them asking the status of our shipment and received this email:

"The shipment that we were expecting in on June 30 was held up in customs, but it is expected to be clear and in our warehouse by Monday. We will be fulfilling and shipping your order from there. I apologize for the delay. We will email tracking to you as soon as we have it available. Megan"

July 16:
"The lamp is on a boat in Savannah, GA, waiting to clear customs. We will have these lamps in our warehouse no later than tomorrow afternoon. They will ship either today or tomorrow, it just depends on when we receive them. I have requested for the lamp to be overnighted to you when it is available. Regards Megan:

July 24:
"We did get some lamps from overseas last week, but we did not get the model that you ordered. According to our warehouse manager, those will be in next week. I am sorry for the additional delay. Regards Megan"

August 1:
"The updated ETA that I have for us receiving this lamp is Tuesday, August 7. Regards Megan"

August 8:
"I am still not showing any outbound tracking on this order. If you need it to be canceled, I can take care of that for you. Megan"

We cancelled this order August 8

Aug 8:
"Your oder has been submitted for cancellation on case number 16503. Regards Megan"

Unfotunately that was not our case number.

August 27 I inquired as to how they would be refunding our money when the church treasurer had not received any refund.

Aug 27:
I am sorry to inform you that as of July 25, we filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. We were just informed of this in customer service at the end of last week. We are not going out of business, we are just going through debt relief and restructuring. All pending orders, cancellations, and unshipped orders prior to July 25 are being refunded. We are not able to refund our customers until the court authorizes the release of those funds. You will be mailed a refund check. If you have any other questions, you can address them to:
ATTN: case 07-71667, 4060 Peachtree Rd, Suite D334, Atlanta, Ga 30319."

Guess the check is coming in on the same boat that the lamp is on.
