Prom & Pageant Expositions, LLC Enterteenment Fraud, lack of payment on services provided Boston, Massachusetts

I was a service provider for the Sound Off TV Show, which was scheduled for production in Boston, MA. The show was starting in Boston with plans to expand on a national level in early 2013. The show is a talent show on young performers ages 13-18 years old. Scheduled to premiere on CBS' myTV38 in August and September 2012, the show has been postponed until June 2013 and  has changed its structure and direction many times since the original event was scheduled on April 7, 2012. Two days before the event date, the Director cancelled it and never notified any of the competitors in the event. It is was concerning, the number of significant changes that took place during the development phase of the project. New groups of people were released and new groups hired on an on-going basis.

A request for payment on services provided for the revised show was presented and the Director/President Amanda Wallis Mills, indicated via email that payment would be provided. While I thought my case was an isolated case, it appears that all individuals who provided services for the development, management, and marketing of the show, have not been compensated and the Director has either not responded or has made promises that the payment due would be provided. Many of the individuals involved were young interns and students, who depended on the salaries to fund their future education.

While this is a serious case of fraud and misrepresentation of the performance opportunity, the other important issue to highlight is that Amanda Wallis Mills is taking advantage of the talent of young performers to raise the sponsorship funds needed to finance the show's production. If funds were raised, they were not utilized to compensate the staff and contract individuals and businesses which included the office staff, videographers, photographers, marketing, talent management personnel and production interns. She is therefore, using the young performers to front her scam operation.

Amanda Mills has other reports on this site and one is filed under a different name, Amanda Visse. The photo, however, verifies it is the same person. The pattern is similar...she creates an opportunity, lures people in, raises funds through fees and sponsorships, and then cancels the event. It is a slick system, and the initial presentation is strong and believable. The Boston case involves many individuals, both adults and children.

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

It is true that Prom & Pageant Expositions, LLC DBA Enterteenment was and has been unable to meet the financial goals required to move forward with the production on the originally scheduled dates which were set for August 2012.  The show is rescheduled for production in February of 2013. Like many businesses in the current financial climate, the company has suffered greatly during the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2012 and is seeking to remedy all outstanding invoices and back payroll as soon as possible.

There is zero fraud involved and the most that requested from cast members is that they wait, if possible until February for production to move forward.  It would be a poorly constructed scam to go to such great lengths to cast a production and incur such debt.  If the sponsors had purchased spots for a television show that did not broadcast, there would be a highly visible uproar.

While we don't take this matter lightly, it is simply a matter of debt and therefore delay.  The company is seven years old as of December 2012 and in seven years we have not fallen upon hard times such as these.  By not sticking to the facts and using defamation and accusing the company of having harmful intentions toward the children and staff involved, anonymous posts such as this make it difficult if not impossible to rectify the matter, by ruining potential sponsor and partner confidence.

For all involved there is complete transparency as most are connected to me on social media, have access to my physical office, email and telephone number.
