Complaint Review: PROMAX INC Remodeling and Restoration.

In short, I encountered problem after problem with PROMAX.  I hired PROMAX for a total full-scale tearout/rebuild type of bathroom remodel.  I met with the owner to go over the wants and excreta.  I specifically told him that I wanted to keep my arched doorways and have doors modified for these archways and I also told him that that whatever new additions that I buy for the bathroom; needed to be taken off of the items purchased sheet.  In a SIGNED contract, it started that the bathroom would take approximately 14 days to complete.  I thought that  14 days would be a best-case scenario,  so I talked to the owner and he said that 14 days would be more than sufficient time for the remodel along with anything unforeseeable.  There where NUMBEROUS times that workers showed up late on site; there were times where I waited from 8:00 to 12:00 on many occasions.  I seen a guy literally fired from the site for being late and that ordeal tacked on another couple of unforeseeable weeks of remodeling.  Side note:  I bought my own flooring, lighting, sink and vanity, bathtube, and used my original toilet; the guys only installed these items.  In the end, the remodel took over a month to complete; yes, it took a month to remodel a bathroom, not to mention that it costed me around $17,000 for a bathroom remodel, not to mention they left my basement ceiling (where they did plumbing and electrical wiring) in shambles (Remember:  I bought my own flooring, sink/vanity, had original toilet, and lighting).  I called PROMAX and asked the secretary for an items list because I wanted to see for myself what I paid for; lets just say I never received any kind of documented sheet with these so-called purchases. I also have to live with the fact that they took out my arched doorways and put in cheap standard doors when I never gave the okay.  I went on their lovely website and they actually have pictures of my bathroom remodel and have the location (site) name of somewhere else and not where I live.  Over all, this was the WORST experience that I ever went through with a remodel. This company is extremely shady!
