Promix BEWARE! SUBSCRIPTION SCAM REACTIVATES YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WITHOUT PERMISSION Internet
This experience left me feeling frustrated, cheated and violated. What started as a convenient service has quickly turned into a nightmare.
I have canceled my subscription twice. But to my dismay, after each time I cancel, I get a notification that my new box has shipped and my card was charged. Upon investigating, I found that the company had reactivated my subscription (both times) without any notification or explanation.
Despite having email records of my cancellation and no evidence of re-enabling the subscription, the company refused to acknowledge their error. Their customer service was unhelpful and dismissive, saying the only way it would have been enabled is if I did it. Which is a load of crap! The first time it happened, I ignored it thinking maybe I placed it on pause even though the email I received clearly said "Confirmed - Your subscription has been canceled". But after this second time, I knew something was up. What was also a clear indication was when the representative said: "We also send out email reminders when a subscription auto-renews to give them time to cancel if they decide they don't need it." I conveniently have no such emails of the last two orders that were canceled even though I have a rule for all my promix emails to be sent to my 'Receipts' folder.
This experience has made me wary of subscription services in general. It's disheartening to realize that companies can exploit their customers' trust and financial information for their gain.
Currently, they are trying to tell me I have to go pick it up in another state for a shipment which is their error before they can refund me. I am placing a stop payment, and charging it back, and wanted to see how many other people experienced this in case their needs to be a class action against them.
