Provident Financial Services, said I would be debt-free in 16 months, AFTER paying them their $1150... Jacksonville Beach Florida
I received an E-mail from Provident Financial Services, Inc., in December of 2006. I talked with Mike Armento and Jamie Patrick. I sent them, via fax, my complete list of past due accounts, including the last statement from each account.
I started working with them as of February 1, 2007.
I sent them $301 for 3 months, then they debited my checking account for $50 for 5 months. They were supposed to call me, telling me how much to pay my first creditor. They were going to call my creditors and make a deal on the total to be paid.
After a few months of no word, I E-mailed Provident, asking what is happening with my account. I E-mailed a second time. Then just recently
I left a phone message asking for a return call.
Early August I cancelled my $50/month fee by faxing them a cancellation notice. Then I started calling my creditors, only to be told they had never been contacted by Provident Financial Services, Inc.
Provident Financial Services, Inc. owes me $1153. To make matters worse, those accounts that I thought were "being handled," are now even more past due.
