Complaint Review: providia life sciences

I too have fallen victim to Providia Live Sciences.

I ordered the system on line after seeing the infomercial as I wanted to check it out more thouroughly. My mistake, I didn't check enough to find the dishonest practices of the company.

I did order the one time trial of the 5 way metabolic fat fighter but I did not sign up for a replenishment program or continuing supply program.

Two months after I received my program in the mail (by the way was exactly what I ordered and expected) I received a shipment of of another bottle of the 5 way fat fighter pills and a receipt showing that my credit card was being charged 49.90 for a two month supply and that it was payment 1 of 2 (actually charging 24.95 for the first half). My credit card statement showed a charge of 29.90, must have included shipping charges.

I immediatly sent an email to the customer service address on the bottom of the receipt and copied myself to ensure I would have a record of the email.

I included a PDF of the receipt and the email said; "I do not wish to receive any further shipments to this account. I did not sitn up for any continuing shipment or supply program.
Please do not send me anything else.

Customer # xxxxxx
Please see attached order receipt if you require any additional information to make sure I do not receive any future shipments."

Well, this month I did not receive a shipment of pills but my credit card was still charged the 24.95 balance from the first receipt.

Totally discusted by the lack of responsibility of this company.

I guess I will have to continue the battle and try to dispute the charges with my credit card company.
