It is no secret that the citizens of our Nation have been having financial problems since 9/11. Remember "trickle down economy"? That goes both ways, and we are all feeling it's sting.

I kept my balance just within limit, until I got my new job. I was paid once a month, just after the due date. I got a late fee, which put me overlimit.

I was told today that the company and me "could not reach an agreement", and I told them that "AGREEMENTS" are 2 way, and Providian is only willing to go 1 way, THEIRS to which I was told that they were "just trying to run a business".

I disagree. Having run a business, I know that it is far better to work to collect the money someone owes you than it is to have that person declare bankruptcy and get nothing. Preditory Lender would be an accurate statement for Providian, however, their unwillingness to make arrangments to collect money makes them seem like something totally different. A company which is owned simply for the losses it takes, so that the owner can off-set their capital gains.

I am luckier than most, because I have sold some realestate and Providian will get their money at the end of the month, and I will NEVER do business with them again.
