I had just moved and had a major problem getting my mail. One day(07/29/04) I got a a letter from Providian stating that I had missed paying on my account. I told them I had been having alot of problems with the post office messing up my mail. They didn't care. I called my local post master and asked what if anything I could do. He told me he was sorry and they did say that the mix up was there fault and told me I should write a letter with my payment to Providian asking them to remove the late fee seeing how it wasn't anything I could control.

He also said I can include his name and phone# if they would like to talk to him. I typed up a really nice letter asking them to please remove the late fee. Well a fee days after they got my payment I get this crap letter stating that after there investagation they were unable to remove it. I sent this letter to 4 other companys and all totally understood my situation and removed the late fee with no question asked. The funny part is I just got the bill in the mail for this from providian a day or 2 ago (8/20/04). Any company that has such a bad customer service problem will never get my money again. BURN IN HELL PROVIDIAN.
