This outfit is really a true scam. I did not receive a statement if February and subsequently was charged a late fee of $39.00 and an "Overdraft fee due to the late charge of $35.00. Watch out for this scam and be sure to watch for a bill every month. They're not sending them so they can charge you the late fee!

Again, I have not received a statement!!! I have called them as the statement has been tracked as to when it arrives which is the 18h or 19th of the month. It is now June 1st, two phone calls to them, and no statement yet. Payment is due on the 17th. Let's see what happens here and this is documented for the OCC to utilize as of this date should I receive a "late charge!"

That was the most ignorant, innane, response

Response from "ex-employee."

Rosie,
That was the most ignorant, innane, response I could have imagined! I was never "asked" any questions by your former employer!!!! They just went ahead and did this on their own. When is your power bill due and how much are you sending them? Respond now before you get it to verify your analogy holds credence! Think before you speak, for your words speak volumes to build my case!

The only thing I ask is if you didn't receive you electric bill would you not pay it? Of course not. So using the excuse that you didn't receive the statement was something that every employee heard at one time or another. There are procedures to responsed to these situations which I'm sure you were asked about if everything is verified nothing can be done. A company cannot control the postal service or other situations that are out of the control of the company. Suggestion, know what you owe and when.

Advised by my attorney to also notify the U.S Attorney General. This can be done by typing in "U.S. Attorney General" and then going to the second one, not his homepage. The second one is U.S Dept. of Justice. They will take the complaint to the approppriate law enforcement agency for investigation! Please do this!
We have to stop these illegal practices!

BY THE WAY, THE PROVIDIAN CUSTOMER SERVICE REP GAVE ME A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL FOR "COMPLAINT RESEARCH", AND THE NUMBER WAS NON-EXISTANT. THE NUMBER TO CALL ON MY STATEMENT WITH ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THE BILL, 1-800-280-9441, IS "DISCONNECTED WITH NO INFORMATION."

FEDERAL BANKING VIOLATIONS, SO IT IS CRITICAL THAT YOU REPORT THEM TO THE PROPER CHANNELS!!!

I found that they were starting these deceptive practices with both my Providian account and my Paypal account. I received no statement in February from them and was below my limit.

They then added a late payment fee which put me over the limit and tacked on an overdraft fee. Contacted Banking and Insurance in Vermont.

They said to CONTACT THE OCC, OFFICE OF CONSUMER CURRENCY, AT 713-336-4301. REPORT YOUR ABUSE TO THEM AND EACH ABUSE IS ASSIGNED A CASE NUMBER WHICH THEY CONTACT THAT BANK ABOUT.

THIS BANK AND IT'S PRACTICES MUST!!!!! BE BROUGHT BEFORE THE FEDERAL INVESTIGATING BOARD BEFORE ANYTHING CAN BE DONE.

MY REGULAR PROVIDIAN ACCOUNT THEY INCREASED THE INTEREST RATE FROM 18.9% TO 28.9% WITHOUT CONTACTING ME!

THESE ARE FEDERAL BANKING VIOLATIONS, SO IT IS CRITICAL THAT YOU REPORT THEM TO THE PROPER CHANNELS!!!

I HAVE NEVER BEEN LATE WITH A PAYMENT AND ALWAYS PAY MORE THAN THE MINIMUM!
ACT NOW!!!!
