Complaint Review: Public Defender Dave Brown

Public Defender Dave Brown for Mesa courts. It is obvious right away how understaffed the Public Defenders office is for the mesa courts. (I'm sure that's not by accident). Still, it would of taken no longer for this man to do an honest job and follow through on our agreement, than it did for him to go back on his word and provide me no defense whatsoever and... as a result all the penalties I received were twice what he said they would be. I was in jail twice as long as he'd promised I'd be. And, he actually ran and hid nowhere to be found when it came time to see the judge. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought public defenders were supposed to be lawyers. And, I thought lawyers had a code of ethics to adhere to.

This being serious enough to result in loosing thier license if not followed. Or does that not apply to Mesa, only the rest of the world. In all fairness, I'm sure the reason he keeps his job is because he does the dishonest job they want him to do. It's just hard to believe that every day he goes to work and screws a countless number of people out of the plea agreement they signed on and agreed to, yet it's all gone unnoticed.

No possible way. They have chosen to egnore it because they don't care or want it that way. This is a scary system. Be afraid, very afraid! What is the purpose of a plea agreement then? Once it's signed that's supposed to be the deal. That's how it works. Otherwise why bother. Right? I'm not the lawyer here but I'm pretty sure thats how it works. Oh ya, unless your in Mesa. Or should I say just about anywhere in Arizona these days.

How do you knowingly screw numerous people everyday who are counting on you for help? You must not have a conscience. Or consideration for the kind of world your helping create for your children to grow up in. Thanks Dave, and all of you who could be part of the solution but instead are part of the problem. You will meet your maker someday just like everybody else!

that has many warrants out for them by your own admission in another fraudulent thread you posted. Go get a job and stop breaking the law....then you won't have any problems.
