Public Fundraising Regulatory Association/ PFRA/ Emily meyer/ Polly Kornie/ Paul Travatgis/Peter-Hills Jones/APPCO/face-to-face/ Protect face-to-face-face-to-face-heroes Pfra.org.au Paul Tavatgis--Founder/owner PUBLIC FUNDRAISING REGULATORY ASSOCIATION AUSTRALIA . It is my opinion that Paul Travatgis, founder, had great intentions when he started the PFRA in 2014, and his heart was in the right place when he wrote the article, they are about making money, not about charity regulation and compliance to fundraising codes sydney NSW

The Public Fundraising Regulatory Association, which claims to be  a self-regulating association, regulating face-to-face fundraising in Australia appear not to be real in its claims to enforce compliance to the code it borrowed from the PFRA in the UK. The penalty fees raised from weaker, smaller suppliers are intented to shut down their operations and are simply punitive damages and maybe inappropriate and illegal. If the PFRA were real, then sanctions or suspension, would havebeen the appropriate option to be meted against the big supplier listed on its website, when there was a serious complaint regarding shaking hands lodged with government agencies in NSW. The PFRA did nothing in relation to suspending ASAP, when Wesley Mission and Amnesty international were seriously implicated in wage payment scandal. The PFRA has not taken any issues against the biggest supplier listed on its website inspite the fact over 1000 employees, deemed "independent contractors"were underpaid, some less than $4 per hour as they claim and the FairWork Ombudsman is currently investigating, which is actually detrimental to the entire charitable sector in Australia. Like, the Proverbial Ostrich, the PFRA, continues to burry its head in the sand, hoping the issue will just go away, but it wont since the unpaid workers should have had a positive experience of the charitable sector.

The PFRA cannot comply with the code it simply borrowed from the UK, and more recently has imported former PFRA CEO from the UK,at the time the PFRA in the UK appear to have merged with another company due to financial pressure. Do your own due diligence and research before joining the PFRA in Australia. All the statements in this articles are my personal opinions.
