Public Storage, Arthur J. Gallagher & Company, Insurance Public Storage Insurance Theft Ripoff Canoga Park California
Someone picked the lock on my storage unit at Public Storage. The insurance company Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. says this does not qualify as forced entry and will not compensate me for the loss. Public Storage appears on the outside to be a secure storage facility but there are no cameras inside the buildings to prevent people with access from stealing from you. The insurance policy they sell you has many loopholes for them to avoid paying you.

Real nice! You should be that blatent when that potential customer walks through the door. Tell them how the insuance that they will pay for is only to protect public storage, to further liability and cover negligence. Tell them to act as if they a renting a cheap tent....that they will need some good storage bins, duct tape and plastic sheets....and then pray that someone doesn't somehow unzip that tent door and steal your property. Your job is to pretty much hand them a pen...considering most customers come to you without much marketing(because they trust you)...and watch for a fire.
Don't be so defensive...it only supports your lack of ethics

#1employee has a point but (also) is not "the Great Karnak". Suggest you privately consult an insurance lawyer, google "bad faith attorneys Los Angeles.". Check out www.wrongfulauction.com for lien sale complaints!

Arthur j gallager insurance company has no links to public storage at all. We offer their insurance to protect your goods. We make it mandatory becuz I couldn't tell u how many times before it was mandatory that something would happen, not meaning a break in but a mouse or a roof caved in or something like that happened and they didn't want the insurance and per the lease agreement in no way shape or form is public storage responsible for ur goods while in storage and u store them at ur own rial. Don't associate public storage becuz the insurance company wouldn't pay out on ur claim. Public storage did no wrong and as a customer u should understand that we r here to store ur goods. We r not required to even have security cameras on ur stuff or the property. If there r cameras anywhere on the property then be grateful those r there. We do what we can as storage personal but there is only so much we can do. U really can't expect us to do a background check on every single renter who walks through our door can u? Complain about the insurance. That's fine but what did public storage do honestly?
