I rented a 10x10 storage for my mother and I was paying for it. In October, she was responsible for paying it. She was unable to do so and I found out on 10/16/02 when a message was left at my home saying if she didn't pay $189 by 10/20/02, her things would be auctioned off. I did not have the money at the time.

I received another message on 11/11/02 saying she owed $398. We were under the impression that her belongings were sold already on 10/20/02, which is why we didn't pay the $189.

On 11/2/02 we were told to pay $398 plus $159 plus the price of a new lock ($557 in total) by 11/30/02. On 11/17/02 we received another call from Public Storage saying she has a $400 balance and the amount needed to be paid by 11/21/02 or her belongings would be sold.

We were given various dates to pay off the balance and lied to about when her things would be auctioned off. This foolishness has cost us a lot of time, energy, and most importantly, her belongings. It will cost us more to replace those items, however, we cannot replace her college degrees and diplomas.

Take my advice, don't ever patronize their business. You will get screwed over in the worst way.
