I received a letter in the mail from this supposed online company stating that I had won $50,000 in their lottery. Enclosed was a check for $3,665 with instructions to call Larry Johnson with the Promo Code.

I knew it was BS from the start, but wanted to get all the info. I could from them to report them. I called him and he had a middle eastern accent, so knew the name was BS. He informed me I needed to deposit the check and mail the funds to him to pay the taxes via Western Union and he would then release the remaining funds to me.

I decided to call him on his scam and acted all excited that I was going to receive so much money! I called him back 20 minutes later and told him Western Union wanted $29.87 to wire the funds. I also stated that I was out of work(which I am not) and that I did not have the money to send the $3665. I asked him if he could send me that amount and I would send the funds right away.

The moron fell for it and I picked it up. I then called him back and thanked him for the $30 for wasting my time and that I excised this small fee for attempting to scam me. He went on a tirade and I just laughed at him and told him he was a piece of crap for what he was attempting to do to people.

Now, $30 is nothing to me, it wasnt about the money, but the principle. I just found it poetic justice that the scammer got scammed. Yes, I do sleep good at night. I am not a scammer myself, but in this case it felt justified.
