I recieved a letter stating I have won one million dollars. I had entered a great deal of lottery contest. I called the said lawyer, Mr. Michael Chambers, as the letter directed. Michael Chambers congradulated me and explained that there was a Non-resident fee of $5,000.00 in ordered for the check to be released from Canada. The drawing was allegedly held in Canada since more people entered there rather than the US.

I explained how skepticle I was and that I would not be sending any money. Michael Chambers reassured me saying that his company would cover $4,500.00 interest free because they know we are recieving a large amount of money. He also stated they are legitamit company with a register number (1-866-465-7948 ext. #1) and asked that I call the Canadian Internal Revenue service and speak to Mr.Scott Manning (1-604-716-4608). I did so and he claimed to me that he was a government official, explained some the Canadian laws and assurred me my life was about to change. He was right.

I sent them $500.00 and Michael Chambers called me the next day and explained there was an insurance coverage needed for the check to be insured once entering Michigan. We argued. He refused to send me back any money and insisted I go the bank and get a loan for the $1300.00 since we will be recieving a $4500.00 bill for the said loan given to us to release the check. I sent yet another MoneyGram, this time for $1300.00. Michael Chambers then told me that there is a Michigan state tax of $3,500.00. He said the check is at the border and can not enter Michigan until the tax was paid. I refused to send any more money.

Both Mr. Scott Manning and Michael Chambers stated there was nothing either of them could do and stuck to there word the entire time that I was a millionaire and i had to keep sending them money. In the end Michael Chambers said I would recieve a refund in 30-90 days some paper work would have to be done.

You've been scammed

In case you haven't figured it out, you've been scammed. You said it smelled like a scam, why didn't you check it out? All you had to do was type in Canadian Lottery, and you would've ended up right here on Ripoff Reports! Then, you call the IRS with the number THEY provided to you? Where's your head man?

You won't see the refund. You will never hear from them again. You are out $1800.00 and there's nothing anybody can do about it because it's in Canada.
