I attended at timeshare presentation with my fiancee on July 6, 2009 at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. Our salesperson was named James (I believe). After the presentation, we decided not to purchase a timeshare. James said that if we would agree to purchase a timeshare, he would offer us a lifetime membership in the "Pueblo Bonito Premier Club" for only $199.00. He told us this was a $17,000 value and that it was only being offered to people who bought the more expensive condos up on the hill. He said that one person didn't need the Premier Membership so he would sell it to me for $199.00, but only if I agreed to buy a timeshare.

He said that the Pueblo Bonito Premier club would allow me to reserve hotels at properties in a big RCI book that he gave us with the Premier documents. He said that we could reserve the hotels in the RCI book for 1, 2, 3 or more nights through the Pueblo Bonito Premier membership at a rate of $59.00 for a 1 BR, $79.00 for a 2BR and $99.00 for a 3BR. This seemed like such a good deal to us that we decided to buy the timeshare. I DID NOT WANT A TIMESHARE BUT AGREED TO BUY ONE ONLY BECAUSE OF THIS PEUBLO BONITO PREMIER MEMBERSHIP.

We even showed him places in the RCI book which were in Colorado (where we live) and said that we wanted to go there for Thanksgiving through the Pueblo Bonito Premier club. He said that was a great idea and told us about how he used to live in Colorado as well. When I went to reserve one of the hotels, I found out that NONE OF WHAT HE TOLD US IS TRUE!!! The woman told me that you can't get hotels out of the RCI book through the Premier Membership, and the rates through the Premier website are much higher than what we were told. The whole thing was a scam to get us to buy a timeshare!

After realizing this, I called and left three messages for James and none of these were returned. I then called my credit card company and disputed the charge. The charge was resolved in Pueblo Bonito's favor because they wrote back to my credit card company (but refuse to speak with me) and said that "I got my timeshare so why am I upset".

The people at the Premier Club refunded my money and agreed that the Pueblo Bonito sales representative made major misrepresentations. I have written and called many times but cannot connect with anyone at Pueblo Bonito who will help to resolve this issue.

BEWARE OF ANY TIMESHARE PRESENTATION AT THE PUEBLO BONITO RESORTS!!!

This company is one of the most fraudulent developers ins the timeshare industry. The only thing you can do is cancel your timeshare contract. I recommend you to cancel your timeshare, There is a good article about it: http://www.timesharescam.com/blog/205-how-to-cancel-a-pueblo-bonito-timeshare/

Pueblo Bonito Timeshare Scam

My husband and I purchased a Pueblo Bonito timeshare. We were told that we would receive 2 bonus weeks every other year at Pueblo Bonito , We were also guaranteed to be a part of their rental program and could rent out our timeshare every other year rather than use it and we would certainly make a profit. Now we are being told by Pueblo Bonito Premier that no such bonus weeks exist for those prices. We only purchased the timeshare for the promised bonus weeks and rental program.
