Complaint Review: pump warehouse

I was shopping for a new 1hp, 3 phase pump motor. All the pool parts dealers on the internet and locally wanted approx $250. Then I found Pump Warehouse that wanted $159 for the same model. The low price and not being able to order online should have been a tip off. After several days of calling and only getting a voice mail, I finally spoke to a person. The person I spoke to said the motor was in stock but he needed to check with shipping first and would call me back. He never asked for the usual info such as name, address or CC# only a phone number.  This didn't make sense and seemed strange. Long story short.... nobody ever called back. Then I found there are a number of consumer complaints against Pump Warehouse. I finally bought a motor from a local company and told them about Pump Warehouse. I was told it's a good thing I didn't buy from Pump Warehouse because they sell referbushed motors listing them as "new" that's why they are cheaper and charge your CC for more then the advertised listed price. Or subsitute a cheap China made motor without telling the customer. So.... beware of this guy and the low prices.
