Punch promised a $20 rebate. I submitted the rebate form, UPC symbol, and copy of my receipt as requested, mailed on 10/1/04.

After 2 months I just found out they denied the rebate, claiming I didn't include a store receipt. But I orderd the product *online* from Atomic Park, who doesn't offer "store receipts". I included a printout of the receipt generated by the website when the order was accepted. It included by order confirmation #.

So between the UPC symbol and the receipt with an order confirmation, they *know* that I bought the product.

I tried to call their rebate customer service line and I've now been on hold for 25 minutes as I write this. They were hoping I'd hang up.

The rep I got explained that I needed to send in my packing slip. I replied that I didn't have it anymore because their rebate slip didn't instruct me to send it in!

She said "well I'm not the manufacturer, and they print the forms". I said "how can I comply with instructions I'm not given?" and she instructed me to fax my printed order receipt to the rebate resolution department. I asked why, since I had already submitted this originally. She said "well, you sent it to a different department".

I'm sure that this constitutes some form of MAIL FRAUD, and
I'd bet I'm not the only one they're doing this to...

ONLINE Purchases are not eligible for rebates

Punch! Software does not offer rebates for online purchases . . . The price offerred by online retailers is typically reduced already.

It would seem that you need to speak with the online retailer that may have provided you with the rebate information.
