Puppy house Owners Chris and Andi Underpay employees and don’t give proper care to their puppies, in Washington Utah
I was an employee for 4 days. On my third and fourth day I discovered some horrible details about this business which are:
-they underpay employees who work full time and over time
-they falsely advertised on indeed that they pay $12-$14 per hour, when they pay less than $11
-they overcharge triple the amount originally paid for the puppy
-they lie to customers about price and charge them for things that customers didn't agree to purchase
-they harass their employees for sitting down in between puppy schedules or for taking breaks (feeding/health checks/bathing etc.)
-they do not provide enough supplies for employees to care for the puppies
-they do not take sick puppies to the vet
-they don't offer refunds to customers even if the puppy died from an illness that they had before purchased
-they force employees to sign a contract that says not to work at "any competitor pet stores or any pet stores at all within the state and in Nevada"
-they puppies are not properly quarantined when they arrive and don't receive vet care.
-the puppies are not provided with comfort/ beds other than paper shreds
-they puppies are forced to live in kennels with other puppies they don't get along with who attack each other.
-puppies are often separated from each other after bonding and develop separation anxiety.
-puppies are left alone at night for 12 hours straight most of the time with no food or water or any air conditioning (the store is in a hot and dry desert in Utah)
- the employees are forced to say to customers that the puppies come from responsible and reputable breeders when they come from puppy mills
-they sell sick puppies to customers
-they don't allow employees to have 15 min breaks during 8 hour shifts
