I purchased a puppy here against my better judgment. In the store, the puppy appeared very "sweet." Later I would realize "sweet" was simply her being too ill to be jumping around like a puppy should be. Within a couple hours of arriving home with her, she exhibited signs of lethargy and expelled liquid stool. I contacted the store which informed me not to worry, stress of move had caused normal puppy symptoms.

Puppy would not eat, and liquid stool soon progressed to bloody, mucousy liquid stool within 24 hours of purchase. I called the store and they advised me to "give her some pepto" and see if she got better. She did not. The store closed, they did not answer their "emergency" number, and their (shady) vet was also closed and would not be available until the next day. Long story short, I have incurred over $1500 in medical bills and the store has refused to take any responsibility.

The store did offer, when the bill was around $700, to take the dog back and keep her at their vet until she was better, and then return her to me. Because this was the same vet who advised, right before the animal collapsed and was rushed to the emergency room, that she would "probably survive" the night, I did not trust she would be safe in the store's care. After reading the previous ripoff report, I am so glad I did not turn her over.
