Complaint Review: Puppy Room Kennel

My wife and I bought a puppy from Victor Chemerisov's Puppyroom Kennel. The puppy looked a little different from the picture he sent us but we gave him the benefit of the doubt.

We discovered our puppy had an eye condition called which can be genetically passed on. Our puppy needed surgery on both eyes which was very expensive, painful and stressful. We researched the condition and because we thought Victor to be a reputable breeder called him, just to let him know as if a dog has this condition he should not be bred.

We left three messages but received no reply. I called again a week later and Victor answered denying any knowledge of our messages. He said the parents of our puppy (supposedly the ones pictured on his website) never had this condition. We beleived him and let it go at that.

A week later I came across a Russian website www.zonmiracl.ru and was shocked to see the same pictures of the dogs that Victor told us were our pup's parents. The owner of the site had a "Swindler Warning" about Victor stealing photographs of her dogs and passing them off as his.

When I approached Victor he denied any wrong doing. The ladie from Russia sent me proof. I again called Victor who immediately hung up on me. He either hangs up or doesn't pick up anymore when we call.

We never got the AKC papers we were promised which wouldn't be worth the paper they are written on as the parents are not who he claims they are.

Since then we have contacted numerous other victoms of his scams, most of them worse than ours. We have all gotten together to stop this guy hurting more unsuspecting people who just want to buy a heathy puppy from a decent breeder.

Victor's usual defense is that we are all another breeder trying to put him out of bussiness! Not so! We just feel cheated and have all gone through terrible stress and expense because of this. I'm sure you will be hearing more stories similar to this.
