Purco Fleet Services, Inc; GSP Transportation DBA Dollar Rent A Car After renting a car from the "Dollar Rent A Car" counter, I returned the car 10 days later. About a week after returning home, I received a letter from "PurCoI Fleet Services" stating there was windshield damage to the car. After renting a car from the "Dollar Rent A Car" counter, I returned the car 10 days later. About a week after returning home, I received a letter from "PurCoI Fleet Services" stating there was windshield damage to the car. It was a petty chip in the windshield and they were charging me $29 for the chip, and $10 for administrative fees. I called the claims agent and they said they cannot provide a photo of the damage because windshields are hard to photograph. I rented the car from the West Columbia, SC airport location, from the counter with the "Dollar Rent A Car", sign, thinking I'm renting from Dollar Rental. I find out later that Dollar Rent A Car has nothing to do with this company except selling them the name, and they(Dollar Rent A Car" could not help me. When I rented the car, no one from the counter walked aroung the car with me. I had checked the car. When I returned the car, no one was in the parking lot, and no one at the counter goes out to the parking lot to check the car. I had no idea they would look for a chip in the windshield and send me a bill. Buyer beware, you sign a contract is what they tell you. I asked the PurCo agent if a small pebble had caused a paint chip in the front bumper, would I also be responsible for that? He said yes, absolutley. Buyer beware of GSP Transportation DBA any other car rental agency.
