Yes, I ordered diet pills online. Seemed harmless, $4.95 for a free 15-day trial. When I got the pills, I got nervous and used the e-mail address on the bottle to make sure that I made it clear I did not want the product and not to take any money out of my account. The reply to that message was that the address given on the bottle was that of the shipping company. Strange, right?

That was on Thanksgiving (11-23-06). Yesterday (12-05-06), I was checking my balance and discovered that there was $149.95 "missing" from my account. Went through my transactions and didn't find anything for that amount, called te bank and there's a pending auto withdraw for $149.95 from Pure Energy Products. No pills to show for it, just a bounced rent check and the fear of knowing that these sleazy entrepeneurs have access to my checking account.

It's my fault, of course; I got caught up in the whole "no prescription, no hassle" approach to fast weight loss. The hassle is changing all of your banking information and having daydreams of catching up to these criminals and physically taking the equivalent of $149.95 out of their a*s!
