Complaint Review: Pure Weight Loss Centers

Pure Weight Loss Centers Closed the doors without providing people with prepaid products. Gave 3 weeks notice but were seldom opened during that time. Woburn Massachusetts

La Weight Loss Centers closed on Jan 4,2008 without providing their clients any refunds on any of the prepaid merchandise. They promoted savings if you bought in bulk but wouldn't let you take the entire amount of what you purchased. They would give you product weekly when you went to the center. They only told me in person of the closing on Dec 15, 2007. They had no product in the store for me to obtain though they owed me 37 items. Valued at $670. I was told to call the following week and they'd let me know if a shipment arrived.

I called Monday Dec 17th and there had been no shipment. I called Wednesday no answer, I called Friday Dec 21st and was told they had received no merchandise and would be closed on Saturday and through Christmas. I went to the location on Dec 29th and it was closed. They had posted limited hours but was not staffed. They were never open again by the closing date of 1/4/08.

What gets me more is that they were promoting sales of the items late November. People bought items for future use but there was no actual product in hand to take home. That's pretty deceptive if they knew they were going out of business.
