I was a member of LA Weight Loss in 2002 and lost 40 lbs. Since then I have regained almost 100 lbs and wanted to rejoin in 2006 since I was getting married in March, 2007. I restarted and found out I had high-blood pressure and had to see my doctor to prescribe me blood pressure medication. I finally got that under control in November 2007 and then Pure Weight Loss called me. LA Weight loss became Pure Weight Loss and they wanted to restart me on the program. They got a release from my doctor and wanted me to start on a 52-week program to lose 100 lbs. I already had credit for the LA bars/ lites that they make you buy so I just had to buy the program. I officially signed up on 12/14/07 with a 52-week program for $866.00. I got my bars and had to come back two days later to get reweighed and meet with "counselors". The place was closing down. I was informed that I had to fill out a refund request form and then I mailed that in. I have not heard a word from them. They closed the doors a week and half later and I have not received a phone call or my refund as of yet. I filed a complaint with the Attorney General in Pennsylvania and awaiting to see if they are going ahead with a class action. All I want is my money back.
