Purebred Breeders LLC PRBreeders Selling of sick & genetically malformed dog. Cooper City , Florida
Company represented itself as a breeder of purebred dogs in state of Florida. Company is instead a broker for puppy mills in other states. The puppy in question came from a breeder in Missouri & not from Dade County, FL where company is based.
I was sold a puppy 2/14/2010 that had an undisclosed surgery, was sick with a respiratory infection on arrival, 2/17/2010, and had malformed hips, knees, & stifles. This dog's problems continue to worsen as she grows. She now drags herself about with front legs as her rear legs will not support her.
Purebred Breeders insisted that I have multiple vet exams and x-rays to document the abnormalities in this animal (at my expense) before considering replacement. This was done at considerable expense and their respone is now (6/07/2010) that they will not take back the puppy but will sell me a second one from their site at a 45% discount. They refuse to refund one penny of the purchase, vet costs, shipping fees, or cost of euthanizing the current bad purchase. What arrogance!

With so many dogs in the animal shelters these days, WHY would you buy from a breeder in the first place? Did you not get to see the dog before you laid down your money? What do you expect them to do if they take the dog back?
From what you have described the dog has no quality of life with you so maybe finding a LOVING home would be in the best interest of all parties......
People, do not buy animals from BREEDERS!!! Check your local animal shelter and give a home to a deserving animal before it's put to death.

Thanks for sharing. But, you should have known better. Shame on you for giving money away to these people without doing your research.
BUYER BEWARE: Any breeder who lists more than two breeds with more than one or two litters at a time is likely pretty shady.
If you want an AKC registered puppy that is for sure not going to have any problems, go to AKC.com and look under their recommended Breed Clubs to find reputable and responsible breeders who love and care for these dogs as their own.
PLEASE IN THE FUTURE! GO TO : (((Redacted))) IF YOU TELL ONE OF THE AKC RECOMMENDED BREEDERS THAT YOUR DOG WILL BE A PET THAT IS FIXED AND NOT USED TO BREED OR SHOW THEY WILL OFTEN KNOCK DOWN THE PRICE BY SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS.
