Complaint Review: Puremeds

Puremeds Fradulent practices Internet

I was the victim of credit card number theft. My credit card was used in over 30 fraudulent transactions, 3 of which was PureMeds.com. The product came to me and I knew that I didn't make this purchase so I wrote return to sender on the box and put it back for mail pickup to be returned.

More activity showed up on my account so in my conversations with the bank's fraud dept. they said I should return the product so the company would give me a refund. Since I received a product in the mail (probably because a lot of companies will only send to the address associated with the credit card) they could not credit that money back to me it would have to be through the company whose product I had received.

When I called today to report this incident an extremely rude customer service representative told me I did not follow their rules and mail the product back accordingly that she would not refund my money. This was absolutely insulting to know that this company will get their product back (it may cost them a little postage) and they will re-sell it again and I'm out about $90.00 total.

Stay away from this company. Any company that does business like that it is relying on fraudulent practices for a majority of their income.

Steve,

I am sorry to hear that you not only were the victim of fraud, but also treated badly by one of our customer service agents.

Unfortunately, we do not operate our customer service center.  It is an offshore company that we try to stay on top of as much as possible, but issues like yours do happen from time to time.

Regarding the fraud that occured, we operate a reseller program in which people can send clicks to us to try and generate sales, in which we pay them for.  We do get people sometimes who send fraud sales.  Please send all the information regarding the fraud that occured to support@puremeds.com and we will try to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible.  You should not have to pay for something that you did not order.

Thanks

I was also a victim of this company last week, but so far, there have been no charges to credit cards.  At the suggestion of the FBI, I've changed all of my credit card numbers.

How were these bogus purchases charged?  Were they charged to credit cards or by using bank routing numbers and checking account numbers?

Please let us future victims know, so we can take appropriate actions.
