Puritan's Pride Waiting for a refund for a whole year and counting Internet
Do not order from this dreadful company. Their customer services are absolutely appealing and for an online store, they have severe difficulty in understanding how to process a refund.
I made the dreadful mistake of ordering some supplements from the US store over a year ago. I have ordered from the .co.uk store before without any issue, but was somehow re-directed to the U.S. .com site - biggest mistake known to man. I placed my order and paid. I then discovered they wanted to charge almost £35 British Pounds in shipping taxes, which I said I would not be paying and allowed customs to send the items back.
I requested a simple refund. If I knew it would be so hard for an online store, assumedly dealing with orders and customers every day, would find the concept of a refund so difficult to understand I would have just asked them to donate the money to charity, but I doubt they would understand that either.
I asked for refund and they insisted - and are still insisting after one whole year - that I send my credit card details to an unsecured email address. I said there was no poedible way I would be sending my credit card number, expire date and SECURITY CODE (hello!? It's called a SECURITY CODE for a reason) to a random customer service email address. At this point this company lost all ability to comprehend the English language.
1. I asked if they could send the refund in a form of a cheque. They said the couldn't issue a cheque. Have you ever heard of a reputable business without a cheque book? Or unable to understand how to issue a cheque? - no, neither have I.
2. I asked if they could issue a refund via PayPal as the site is secure and this could be done in a few clicks, this suggestion was as if I was speaking Manderin. Again, are you aware of any reputable company that doesn't understand what payPal is or how to use it - no, me either.
3. I asked that they call me, so that I can give my credit card details over the telephone to a secure telephone number and to know to whom I was speaking and handing over access to my bank account to. They said they couldn't do that either.
I gave these people three separate and easy ways to return my money, but instead they insist on me sending my credit card details and access to my back account/funds into the atmousphere. You be the judge of that... I am have been waiting for a simple refund to be processed for over a year now. I really wouldn't buy anything from these people if they can't issue a simple refund and do not understand the security of one's data.
