These people are liars, theives and chickens.  I ordered a dress from them on 10/11/13, it was back ordered and promised to be back in stock on 10/15.  I needed the dress for an event on 10/26 so I paid an additional $4.95 for expedited shipping.  I received an e-mail from them saying that the dress shipped on 10/16/13 and that I should expect the dress in 5-9 business days - SOONER if I requested and paid for one of the expedited shipping methods.

On 10/23, I still had not received the dress, so I checked the tracking information.  It indicated that my dress was still in Indianapolis (I'm in CO) at a shipping facility & they project it will be delivered 10/26...which is ELEVEN days after it shipped.  So I called to inquire why it was taking so long to get my dress when I paid for expidited shipping.

The first person I spoke to indicated that I needed to speak to a "specialist" - after holding for several minutes the "specialist" came on the line.  I explained the problem & gave her my order number.  She did a lot of ummming and ohhing while looking up my order, which tells me that there may have been an issue with the shipping method used that she wasn't going to own up to. 

I told the specialist that I needed my dress before Saturday & that I did not understand why it was taking so long to get it since I paid for expedited shipping.  She couldn't answer the question.  So, I told her that the e-mail the company sent me promised me the dress SOONER than 5-9 days and that I thought that they needed to send me another dress at their expense to be received no later then 10/25 since they couldn't keep their promise regarding expedited delivery. I indicated I would send back the other dress as soon as I recieved it.  She said that FedEx had already come and gone for the day (it was only 2 PM EDT!!) and that they could only ship the dress overnight at this point. 

She wanted to charge me over $100 to resend the dress FedEx!!  I told her that this was unaccepable & that they needed to ship me the dress in the time frame they promised and pay for the shipping.  She said she would check with her supervisor. 

She came back to the phone after a long period and said the supervisor wasn't going to "eat" the shipping cost. I once again told her this was unacceptable...they had promised a delivery time frame, had not delivered on their promise and needed to make good on it.  I asked to speak to the supervisor. 

I ended up on hold again for an extended period of time and then was told by this "specialist" that the supervisor was TOO BUSY to speak with me.    TOO BUSY to speak to an angry customer???  Seriously??  I told her in no uncertain terms that I thought the supervisor was just afraid to speak to me and that I was furious.  She lamely offered to refund the money I paid for my shipping to rectify the situation...I told her that this was not the solution to the problem, that I wanted the dress delivered as promised.  She said she couldn't do this.  I told her that I would take the credit, but that I was going to report them to everyone I could think of including the consumer protection division in the state where they were located, and that I would NEVER do business with their company again. 

Her response?  I've credited your account, good bye & she hung up!! 

Like I said, liars, thieves and chickens. My family has bought several items from this company in the past but I promise you that I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN. They obviously are not an honorable business and they do not value repeat customer business.

BTW -The kicker to this is I have been a customer service professional for over 20 years - if my supervisor or I treated a client the way I was treated today, we'd both be collecting unemployment.

 I wanted to update my previous complaint and turn it into a compliment...

After I posted my original complaint, I did some research and found a way to contact someone within the company who could help me.  She not only took on my problem as her own, but went above and beyond to ensure that I got my dress on time & actually called me on a Saturday to make sure I got it! 

I applaud The Pyramid Collection for doing the right thing.  They took my problem seriously and worked hard to resolve the issue.  I admit I had to be a bit of a squeaky wheel to get the attention, but once I had their attention, they were wonderful about resolving my issue. 

So I just want to say THANKS!!
