Qitel used misleading sales tactics to rip me off con artist ripoff! Plano Texas

This company contacted me back in January and offered me a free Cell Phone or Pager stating that it would be in the mail within 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, I received a letter saying congratulations here's you new voice mail number. No pager or cell phone was with the letter.

I immediately called the company and told them that I didn't won't the service because I had agreed to what I thought was a cell phone and not an expensive voice mail service. They cancelled the service and billed my phone company $59.84 in Feb saying it was an initial hookup fee and a monthly service fee.

I called Qitel at 1-800-736-7500 on 20 Feb to dispute the charges and was rudely cursed out by one of their customer service reps. I don't mind paying the fee but, I hate to be shafted by con artists that take advantage of people. I went to the internet to try and find the web address they mention when you dial the number listed above and found that there was no such web site.

I tried to find them in a search engine and found that I'm not the only person they had been taken advantage of. Everyone complained of the same misleading business tactics that this company wishes to practice, Also everyone that had called them as I did were cursed, hung up on and flat out told that they would pay the bill. I have reported them to the BBB, Marketing complaint hotline and their billing company which is integretel. I am taking every step to have this company investigated and possibly shut down.
