I received a flyer on my house door for air duct cleaning. I called for an estimate and set up a date for them to come out.

Clarence showed up and he The deal was that I was to pay $35.00 for 7 ducts and $5.00 for any over that, I have 10 ducts. All vent covers were to be removed and the vent cleaned.

My husband had to go to work, Clarence, the air man, told my husband before he left that he would remove the cover on our duct on the wall and vacume it out, he did not. He only removed 2 ducts and did check one that was already off. Clarence said he could spray a sanitizer/ atomizer in each to sanitize for $30.00 more; We agreed.

Clarence put his machine hose in the dining room duct and blew the dust out into the house. Right in front of him I had an allergy attack due to the dust. Clarence didn't put that hose in any other duct in the house. We also paid an extra $27.00 for him to service the air unit outside. Clarence walked out to the unit and looked at it, he said it looked fine. I called other air duct cleaning businesses after he had left because I did get so sick with my allergies. I made 3 calls, one being Quality Air Care, to inquire as to the process to cleaning.

I was told by all, including Quality Air Care, that when cleaning air ducts they do not blow out the vents, rather they vacume them. I told all 3 calls that I had a high allergy to dust so would I need to leave the home while the cleaning was being done. All said " no ". I then called the company back, I spoke to Clarence, he said John was the supervisor and he would have to make the decision as to what they were going to do.

I told Clarence I was very unhappy with the job he did and really just wanted my money back so I could call someone else out here to clean my ducts. Clarence said John would call to set a time to come to my house to check the ducts. He never called. I had also asked who the owner was and said I would like to speak to him. Clarence said he had just gone out of town and would be gone 2 weeks. I waited app 2 weeks and called the company again. Again Clarence is who I spoke to, he said he thought John had called us. Clarence said he would give us a refund himself and deal with the company about it.

I told him if I hadn't heard anything by the next day I would contact the Better Business Bureau and Ripoffreport.com... Clarence said he didn't want me to do that. Honestly I feel like this is an illegally ran organization and maybe Clarence is scaming money off the side. Oh yes, he had me write the check out to him. I did but I have a receipt. Clarence said he wasn't liscensed yet but when he did receive his liscense he would be working on his own.

This man, or company, ripped me off....

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, its paid for!
