Disclaimer: I won small claims court and arbitration against this company but could not prove the case in civil court and it was dismissed. Be very careful. In fact, search the state's website and call them to find out about "quality basement waterproofing" owned by Richard Raiche. You'll find that this company's license expired years ago and they are doing business illegally. They replaced an egress window well of mine and two years later it was back where it started - with water washing in around it and the egress window well bowing in. They do not know what they are doing. The small claims court judge told Richard flat out he could tell the job wasn't "quality".

Quality Basement Waterproofing

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

All of the work completed was within the guidelines of our licensing, and was completed in a good workmanship manner. Several years after completing the project, The homeowner requested additional landscaping around the window well unit that we had installed. I told him that that was the responsibility of the homeowner association, since there had been some settling (after several years) from watering, rain, and erosion. None of these had anything to so with our installation. The homeowner commenced legal action against us of $2,000, but the judge order a judgment of $500 in favor of Quality Basement Waterproofing (as the defendant) for the homeowner starting a frivolous law suit. It is rare that a defendant win a judgment, but the court deemed it necessary to punish the homeowner for starting such action and wasting the Courts time. The Plaintiff (homeowner) paid the judgment to Quality Basement Waterproofing in full.

The homeowner is obviously upset and should understand that the court made the decision. I hope that he can learn to accept the ruling. We are a reputable company and have been in business for 30 years. With over 5,000 customers.
