Quality Inn and Suites & Bob Patel Charged a $300. Deposit on a room I had to clean and would not give it back. Big Spring, Texas

On July 2 my wife called Quality Inn and Suites in Big Spring Tx. I had a job at the local refinery and would be staying about a month. Bob Patel the manager of the hotel told her that the hotel was booked but he owned an apartment on the same property as the hotel. It had all the amenities of the hotel and was furnished. The rent was $275. a week with a $300. Deposit. After we arrived however what we were told was not true. All the money had to be cash and had to be paid through the front desk of the hotel. The apartment was filthy it had roaches every where and the water smelt like sewage. I called Bob he said That was my problem and he would not give my deposit back until I checked out and he could inspect the room for damage.

On Friday July 15 I called Bob and told him I had to be at work in Sluphur, La. Monday morning. He said he would be in town Sunday morning and would give my deposit back. Sunday morning after cleaning up the apartment I went to the front desk to check out. No one new any thing the apartment rental and Bob would not be in town till Monday. I called him and he told me that was my problem and he did not work on Sunday. He also cussed me out on the phone. I called Quality Inn customer service for help who Bob also cussed out. So please if you must stay in Big Spring don't stay at Quality Inn and Suites, or at the apartment between them and Denny's.
