I was approached at my door July 12, 2008 by a young man claiming to be Joseph Bias. He said he was a local baseball player trying to earn money to travel to an out-of-state game. To raise this money he said QSI would sponsor kids at a local hospital by sending books to them. When each team member raised enough money for these "sponsor" kids, the boys would earn points given by this company which in turn would donate money to the team for travel expenses.

He also offered that he and his uncle, a professional window washer Mr. Squeegee, would return in a week to wash our windows complimentary as a thank you for my donation.

I stupidly wrote a check to sponsor one kid at which point this boy gave me $40 and had me sponsor two kids so that he could earn his points faster.

Very slick kid.

I canceled the check, notified my bank of this fraud, reported this fraud to a credit agency and am considering closing my checking account and opening another. I also reported it to our local police and alerted my neighborhood through our Yahoo e-group.
