Qualtech - Delta Computer Group Contracted Hours Not Paid Farmingdale New York
I was contacted by Delta Computer Group for a contract with 7-11 stores in the Southwest Virginia area mid August 2008. I was contracted to replace all point of sale devices in 11 stores over the course of 3 weeks.
After submitting all of my hours, and they were verified by Diebold as accurate, I was informed that this company was in the middle of a merger with Qualtech, Inc. This contract included work from 8/24-9/18 2008 yet it is 11/1 and I have yet to be paid in full for the work I provided.
I did receive ONE check 10/1/2008 for less than HALF of the money owed to me. I was not paid for ANY of my travel time, none of my overtime, and not paid at all for the last location on 9/18/2008.
I have been back and forth with Delta Computer Group as well as Qualtech who keep giving me the runaround. The first reply about this issue was that I would receive payment in full on 10/1. This was not the case. I then contacted the VP of Operations for Qualtech Inc to further my cause.
I informed him of what WAS and what was NOT paid to me, a total of 55 hours still being due. He informed me that I was not paid fully because I did not turn in a new timesheet under the Qualtech site, although this had been done on the Delta Computer site. I accepted that this may be just a situation arising because of their merger. I complied with Larry Altridge's (VP) request to fill out these online forms and had them completed within 2 business days. I was then told that they only ran payroll on the 1st and 15th (which I already knew).
I assumed that this issue would be resolved today (11/1) because of my escalation to an executive of this company. I did not receive any pay today nor has anyone returned my NUMEROUS emails/calls regarding the money that is OWED to me.
I am now taking this to the NY Dept. of Labor, and will progress this site with any further updates.
I warn anyone who is contacted by either Delta Computer Group and/or Qualtech Inc. to not accept any contracts they present. They have been untruthful throughout this situation and have not shown any interest in protecting their reputation by correcting this issue.

After posting the above report, I was contacted by the VP and was paid the hours owed to me. Also, I was told that I was misinformed about the merger of Delta Computer group and Qualtech.

Delta Computer Group and Qualtech Inc. are not affiliated at all. Delta Computer Group was contracted by Qualtech Inc. to help staff a project. Dawn was never an employee or contractor for Delta Computer Group. All of her payroll information was submitted to Qualtech. The check she received for services rendered was through Qualtech Inc. and any other monies owed are due from Qualtech Inc. as well. At no point in time did Dawn work for Delta Computer Group.
In an effort to help Dawn, Delta Computer Group has made calls to Qualtech Inc. on her behalf to try and resolve her issue. As we are not affiliated with Qualtech Inc. Delta Computer Group is not responsible for payment for services rendered and has done as much as we can on her behalf.
