Complaint Review: Queen City Floor Carpeting

I contacted Queen City Floor Carpet and asked to have medium grade carpet adn the best pad (thickness) you could purchase to be installed in my home. After the carpet was installed, my husband and I starting looking at the carpet and feeling the thickness of the carpet and realized that the carpet was not the color, style, or design that I chose in the store.

The owner left us a sample of the pad and carpet and we took it to several carpet dealers and was told we were simply put "ripped off". The pad was the cheapeast that you could purchase and the carpet was builder grade.
I contacted the owner and he said that (even though he was there helping install the carpet), the helpers picked up the wrong pad.

When I explained that we were VERY upset due to the fact that we had several pieces of heavy furniture (including a heavy wall-unit) that we did not want to have to move again and put back together.

He agreed (after many calls) to take a cheaper price for the carpet. I originally stated in an email that I wanted to pay for the carpet, but after speaking with my husband he said absolutley not.

The owner than went back on his word of taking a cheaper price and then sent our bill over to a collection agency and continued to call our home and curse my family with works I would NEVER repeat. He even threatned to do bodily harm to my family if we did not pay the entire bill. We eventually had to call the police and have them contact Queen City to stop calling our home.

Please do not call or use this company, I do not want to see another family go through what my family still has to endure.
