I recently purchased ADOBE GOLIVE CS 7.0 Full version from quickbooks4less.com because they where advertising it on sale for $150.00. I thought this was a great deal, but I wanted to make sure this was exactly what I wanted so I compared the product ID of the software they were selling to Adobes web site.

Every thing looked good the ID #'s matched and so did the pictures. I just couldn't undertsand how they could be selling this software for $150.00 less than any one else.

I recevied my package 3 or 4 days later. I open up the box and loaded the software. The licensing aggrement came up and in bold black letters says EDUCATION EDITION FOR ACADEMIC USE ONLY.

Well I double check the invoice to the box and they where wrong. So I assumed that they must have just sent me the wrong one. I go back to there website to try and find a phone number. No where to be found is a number they only give an e-mail address.

I e-mail them, stating my order number, name and the problem. They e-mail back a couple days later saying the education edition is the same as the full version and that I can just use it as if it where a full version.

I called up ADOBE customer service "like any good company gives a phone number" and tell them whats going on. The gentalmen I talked to said that there are extras that are missing out of the education version and that it is unlawful to use the education version for commercial use.

I e-mailed them saying:

"There are a few things I am going to make clear to you. One I purchased Adobe GoLive CS Full version 7.0 not the education edition. The education edition is missing some stock art and other extras adobe throws in and the education edition is meant for academic purposes only I am not going to start abusing software licenses. If I wanted the Education Edition I would have purchased it from Adobe for $79.00 NOT $150.00. So you are either going to send me the Full version or I am going to talk to the credit card company and the BBB."

They e-mailed me back saying I can return the product and get my money back. I may not be getting pripped off money wise but they set back my website development by two weeks(company livly hood). I want to make it clear to all other software consumers THESE PEOPLE PURPOSLY MISLEAD and if its to good to be true then its probably false. THEY WILL DO IT OVER AND OVER UNTIL WE STAND UP. :^/
